Environmental Contractors.
We are Dunedin-based environmental and ecological contractors who specialise in large-scale native planting projects, ecological management and environmental contracting. We can handle clearing, weed control and trapping projects in the Otago region.
Large-Scale Native Planting.
We are large-scale native planting specialists. We manage projects from 500m2 to 10 hectares and larger. Examples of large-scale projects include an ecological and amenity native gully-planting assignment involving a 10,000-plant plan for a Clutha District Council subdivision. We completed a 5 hectare ex-pine plantation native restoration on steep hillslope for a private land owner, and we managed the Mahinerangi wind-farm tussock remediation project for Trustpower and Tilt Renewables. This project involved planting 10,000 plants over 2 hectares under the QEII Covenant.
Ecological Approach.
We take an ecological approach to rehabilitating land. We work with private land owners, companies, developers and councils to restore and enhance landscapes. Our service includes an end-to-end approach from ecological assessments to funding applications, ecological mapping, drone photography, and consultancy around appropriate plant species selection and eco-sourcing. Our project management moves from planning and design to implementation of all aspects of the project: planting, weed control, maintenance, fencing, pest control assessments and management.
General Environmental Contracting.
Our contracting team are skilled in all clear-up projects, including spraying, scrub cutting, chainsaw work and controlling vegetation. We can remove invasive species and noxious weeds, and manage unruly woody weeds such as sycamore, hawthorn, pines and Darwin’s Barberry. We also work on trap lines, survey lines, recreational track maintenance and track formation for DOC.
